Nantucket Committee Unanimously Recommends Williams Deed Restriction Application for Award

NANTUCKET — May 27, 2026 — Nantucket's Year-Round Deed Restriction Pilot Program Two advances its sole remaining application to the Affordable Housing Trust. The RFP Review Committee voted 3-0 on May 27 to recommend the application of Stephen and Claire Williams at 10 Arkansas Ave. for a final award after the homeowners satisfied all conditions attached to a prior conditional approval, including a Title IX septic test, a well water and PFAS test, a home inspection, and a property appraisal. Members Penny, Tracy McDonald, and Christy Farantella each voted in favor. Before adjourning, one member called for a retrospective review of the pilot program's process, noting "this is a pilot program" and suggesting the committee or staff bring findings to the Affordable Housing Trust — a step staff agreed to coordinate.
